Clinton Elementary School held its annual Kids Heart Challenge event, formally known as Jump Rope for Heart, on Thursday, February 7th, and it was a great success!
The Kids Heart Challenge is a community service learning program of the American Heart Association. It teaches kids the importance of developing heart-healthy habits; that being physically active can be fun; and by raising funds to support research and education they help save lives across the country and their community.
Leading up to the event, the students participated in a jump rope unit during Physical Education class. They learned and practiced many jump rope skills. On Clinton Elementary’s event day, students enjoyed jump rope stations and jump rope contests.
Our Jump Rope for Heart event was very successful this year. Together, CES’s students raised $15,446.00 for the American Heart Association. Thank you to all who participated and played an active role in helping us accomplish this goal.
